As we begin our 43rd concert season, the choir bids farewell to our director of 15 years and dear friend, Lucinda J. Thayer; and welcomes our interim director, Carla Dul. Carla comes to us with 26 years of teaching and directing experience, and we are looking forward to making music together under her leadership.
Our Christmas concerts this year will be held at First Presbyterian Church in Wausau on December 12 and 13. We will perform a festival of Lessons & Carols, modeled after the Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols first celebrated at King’s College, Cambridge, in 1918. We are delighted to offer these performances at NO CHARGE to our audience. This furthers the choir's mission to reach as large an audience as possible, and says thanks to our patrons for their generous support. A free-will offering will be collected to defray costs associated with the performances.
The choir invites you to mark your calendars for its spring performances on April 30 and May 1, at First Presbyterian Church in Wausau; and on June 12, at the Great Hall on ARTSblock, for our highly popular fundraising dinner and evening of entertainment and music, Summer Serenade.
Please check out the CONCERTS page for more information on performances, and our SUPPORT page for information on how you can help support the choir.
Thank you to all of our patrons and major sponsors through the years. Your support of the arts through the choir makes our performances possible, and keeps our community thriving.
