Dear Friends of the Wausau Lyric Choir:
There is still snow on the ground and the air is cold but the days are getting longer, and spring will soon be here! We are looking forward to our April 25-26 concerts at First Presbyterian Church in Wausau. These concerts will feature some of the music that the Choir will be performing during our June, 2009 concert tour to France. We’ll begin with Franz Schubert’s lovely “Mass in G Major and follow that by music from England – including music of Gibbons, Byrd, and contemporary composer Bob Chilcott. The centerpiece of that group of pieces will be Benjamin Britten’s “Festival Te Deum”. We’ll conclude with American music by Jester Hairston, William Grant Still, and Aaron Copland. There will be something for everyone on this concert!

We are grateful to all of our donors, both individual and corporate, for their continuing support. Without these generous contributions, our ability to continue to share our music with the Wausau area community and beyond would be severely limited. Many thanks to everyone who has supported us in the past. If you would like to join our list of donors, please click on the “Support” link on this site.
